No me había fijado pero Wested ahora vende la cazadora que llevaba Weaver en "Aliens".

No dice mucho a favor de los conocimientos comerciales de Wested poner las fotos de la peli en blanco y negro. No sabía que esa cazadora también la hicieran ellos para la película.

Pondría una foto a color de alguna escena de Ripley con la susodicha chaqueta pero no encuentro ninguna por Internet y no tengo la película asi que si alguien es tan amable de postear alguna foto a color donde salga pues...

Podría decirse que es una de las pocas prendas que vende Wested que sirve tanto para hombre como para mujer (o no?).

A mi a primera vista me parecio una A2, o una A2 modificada, con lo cual seria un pariente de la de Indy.

La unica foto que encontre es esta:

Getting back to Ripley's outfit for a moment, the auction listed her brown leather jacket as an American WWII style pilot's jacket, which looks to be an A-2 flight jacket. However, there are clearly what look to be an extra verticle pocket on the left breast above the front cargo pocket, and another pocket added to the upper left sleeve. They were a little hard to make out in older video and even DVD format, but in hi-definition they are very apparent.As far as I know there have been no American versions of the A-2 issued like that, so I've just assumed those were modifications added to the jacket by the costuming department. I've also wondered if it might possibly have been a British variant of the A-2 design. Anyway, I really liked the look of it, the extra pockets make it more interesting than a standard issue A-2.


Y alguien mas piensa diferente, y parece tener sustento:

The jacket was made by Peter Botwright at Wested (http://www.wested.com check out the film credits), he was the leather manufacturer for Alien, Aliens and Alien 3.
In Alien he did the Nostromo leather jacket worn by one of the actors (with NOSTROMO yellow lettering on the back.
In Aliens he did Ripley's jacket, which was basically an A2 with added details... however it was not a modified A2, the jacket was made on purpose for the film, not alterating a real one. Peter also made the A2 jackets for Hannover Street so he already had experience in reproducing those.

This was confirmed to me by one of the costumiers, Peter of course confirmed too. I'm quite an expert on certain parts of Ripley's gear now.

si, tb parece ser que wested hizo la de Parker (el negro de la tripulación), que tb es una A-2 y pone N O S T R O M O en la chepa. esa sí que molaría. y es más viril.

Pero no te pongas esos pantalones blancos y la cinta del pelo junto que el Nostromo no ayuda tanto!
